The carrot peeler guy passed away on Sunday. This is especially chilling because on Saturday I walked by him in Union Square and he was sitting alone looking very defeated and tired with no customers around. I thought to myself that it must be tough for a guy whose entire life is about being a vibrant salesman, and one day you find yourself too old to do what you love. Though I never found the need for bulk purchasing of carrot peelers, NYC is a little less cool without this guy around.
