Q: Actually, BP is not as much of a culprit as popular opinion is leading you to believe. Reaction over the oil spill is a case of misdirected anger--there were no significant government regulations to prevent deepwater drilling. If we're going to play the blame game, blame the government, not the capitalistic paradigm. And, too, BP is managing the crisis extremely well, so much so that people will eventually refer to this disaster as the new model for crisis management.

I had no idea Congressman Joe Barton read my blog. Hello sir! Please do accept my apology for my obvious ignorance. You’d be surprised how many people have emailed me today calling me stupid, and it’s true! You are correct, BP is doing an amazing job all around (besides that small detail about stopping the leak). I agree, people will look back at this and say “wow that was some good crisis management.”
