DJ Mehdi died last night, at age 34. I was just listening to his annual summer mixtape release that came out 4 days ago. The guy was always super fun an energetic to see play and tag team with other DJ’s. His signature was to always wear a dress shirt while playing, which would be soaked through by the end of his set. Sometimes I’d see him walking around Williamsburg with a little kid when he was visiting NYC, so super sad.
